Alumni Advisory Board

The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice Alumni Advisory Board is a group of graduates from our programs who serve as volunteers to:

  • Share insight on emerging issues and advancements relevant to crime and justice.
  • Give input on the utility of curricular content and delivery from a practitioner vantage point.
  • Provide recommendations on strengthening ties to alumni and criminal justice professions.
  • Assist the school with selection of Wall of Fame inductees.

About the board

Members of the Criminology and Criminal Justice Alumni Advisory Board will be appointed by the school director and faculty from the school’s alumni outreach committee.

The advisory board will consist of 8-to-10 members who serve 3-year terms that are potentially renewable. The process of selecting advisory board members aims for good geographical and professional representation.

Requirements and application

Applications for membership will be accepted through March 1, 2024.

Members are required to meet at least twice per year. If any member can’t make it to the physical campus, these meetings will be held virtually.

The Alumni Advisory Board will include a chair, vice chair and secretary selected by the advisory board members with approval from the alumni outreach committee. The chair, vice chair and secretary serve 1-year terms that may be renewed.
