Students admitted to the M.S. in Criminology may seek graduate assistant positions across campus through the Graduate College.  Select the prompt on the left to visit the Graduate College Home Page for more information on these assistantship opportunities, application processes, and deadlines.

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology offers a very limited number of graduate assistantships for students in the M.S. in Criminology program.  The selection process is competitive and based on past academic performance, potential for outstanding success in program, and current department needs.

Missouri State University Library Scene.The award period begins in the Fall Semester and runs for an academic year.  Assistantship recipients may re-apply for an additional year.  Our assistantships include a tuition waiver for each semester, including summer, and a stipend in exchange for 20 hours per week of work in the department assisting graduate faculty with teaching and/or research.

The deadline for consideration as a graduate assistant is March 1 each year.  Awards for the following academic year typically are announced before the end of the preceding Spring Semester.
