M.S. in Criminology Application Procedure

The Graduate School at Missouri State University provides detailed information on the application process.  Select the link on the left to view these procedures.

Applications for admission to the program will be accepted until July 20 for Fall Semester and December 20 for Spring Semester.  However, it is a good idea apply as early as possible.

There are two steps involved.  First, students must be admitted to the Graduate School.  For this process, send the following materials directly to:

  • The Graduate Admission Application (available online on the Graduate College Admissions link, in the back of the Graduate Catalog, or at the Graduate College Office in Carrington Hall, Room 306).College of Humanities and Public Affairs
  • A non-refundable application fee of $35.
  • Submit two official copies of transcripts showing course work for the bachelor's degree.  Missouri State University transcripts do not need to be sent.
  • GRE scores.

  • A statement of intent describing your reasons for applying to the M.S. in Criminology, what you hope to gain from this educational experience, along with post-graduate plans.
  • Three letters of recommendation from academic sources.
